We’re in the process of renovating our Web site to better keep our customers up-to-date with what’s new on our end. We hope you like it!
Along with five other, very deserving framers, we were invited by Picture Framing Magazine to submit a piece for their February 2009 article on Creative Mat Cutting, using our wonderful Valiani MatPro CMCi computerized mat cutter!
A photo of that whopping piece, entitled “Through The Canopy,” can be seen on our Gallery page. It’s the black leaf framed, silk painting by award-winning artist Lynn Rogers, owner of Good Natured Gifts in Gatlinburg, TN.
We invite you to pick up a copy of February’s PFM, and read everyone’s submissions. If you then have further interest in how we went about making this particular piece (or any of the others seen here), please drop us a line, and we will either answer you personally or, if there are several such requests, we will be happy to post a detailed article right here on our site.
Thank you for your interest!
In our on-going efforts to provide our customers with exciting, new products, we have added a line of picture frames whose openings comprise the letters of words! These can either be standard words of our choosing, or custom words requested by YOU.
Folks who are local to the Gatlinburg, Tennessee, area may view these items at Mountain Crafts and Arts, located at 1133 Parkway, near traffic light #10. Our Internet customers will soon be able to purchase these same frames right here, as our long awaited e-Commerce section is now in the works!
Our home-based design studio and retail store will be complete in approximately two weeks. We want to express our gratitude to those of you who have borne with us during this transition. As you have seen, this move has made it possible to reduce prices across the board for all of our customers, at both the retail and wholesale levels. Thank-you for all of your positive feedback. It is very much appreciated.
For those who don’t know, this means that we will be able to write just about anything on the mat’s surface, using nearly any pen, marker, or pencil! In typical fraMANIA! style, we are going way beyond French lines. Give us a call to see what we can do for YOU!
In an attempt to cut overhead in order to help ourselves and our customers make it through these tough times, we will be temporarily closing our location in Gatlinburg’s Mountain Mall, and relocating to our residential Design Studio. We are still very much in business, so please contact us to address your needs.

We are grateful, and proud to announce that three more of our pieces made an appearance in this month’s issue of our industry’s periodical, in an insightful article by James Miller entitled, “Mat Design Magic.” To your right is the most complex design of the three. Although difficult to see at this scale, it makes extensive use of our Valiani CMC’s Mat Stylus Pen.
Have YOU an idea for something extra-ordinary? If so, please give us a call, or drop us a line.
